24/7 - spoke to Nick Carter about the state the club was in, and what to do to put their branch on hold?
Hi Nick,
Thanks for your call today and the update on Waikerie.
I have spoken with our CEO Lucas, who has confirmed a few a things for me which we spoke about yesterday.
If you are looking to put in a request to put your branch ‘on hold’, including all branch activity, Field & Game Australia can certainly accommodate these style of requests. It is worth noting, that if we do put your branch ‘on hold’, then you will not be covered by Field & Game Australia’s branch insurance. You did mention that there was still some activity happening on your grounds, so this would need to be considered before we make any changes, to ensure you were eligible if something happened. I did also receive confirmation that you are able to make an application to have your previous range levy fees removed, as the branch has been in-active and not having regular shoots, but I cannot guarantee anything.
Please let me know how you go with the communications with the surrounding clubs, and please note I would be more than happy to assist you in creating a fundraiser, shoot or similar that might drive some traction in your local area with those other branches involved.
We could look to assist in the marketing and promotion of this, via our newsletter, website, social media and more. Lucas did mention, clubs in similar positions have a done Club vs Club shoot, to drive attendance from other members in the local area, with potential for new sign ups or member transfers.
Let me know if you need anything further on the above, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything further from me.
Kind regards,
Kane
