Hunt at Heart Morass 2025
Hunting at the Heart Morass during the Victorian duck season 2025
The Heart Morass is an incredible feat of conservation work by hunters, with over 3,000 acres of beautiful wetland. You can read more about the Heart Morass on the Wetlands Environmental Taskforce's Facebook page.
Keys to the Heart Morass for use during the 2025 Victorian Duck Season can be obtained by making a donation of $80 to Wetlands Environmental Taskforce; donations (cash only) will be accepted from 9am on Saturday, January 11th.
The process for purchasing a key for access during 2025 is as follows:
- Download, print and fill out the Hunt at Heart Morass - Conditions of Entry Form 2025.
NOTE: a new requirement is to include your Game License Expiry date on your Form - Take your completed form, your current Field & Game Australia membership card, and your $80 cash donation (sorry, no cards will be accepted; CASH ONLY) in person to H & S Firearms in Sale, Victoria (Shop 6/61 Princes Hwy, Sale) from 9am on Saturday, January 11th.
- You will then receive your key, a copy of the conditions, and a map of the Heart Morass. The key will give you access from 8am on Saturday, February 8th 2025.
Please note: Hunter numbers for the season opening will be limited to 150! Hunter numbers at Heart Morass for the remainder of the 2025 season will be unlimited.

Important information on PFAS contamination and current health advice
In 2018 the Department of Defence released its Final Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment (HHERA) of the PFAS contamination site around the RAAF Base East Sale which includes Heart Morass.
